Uninstall Quickly removes all traces of CB and restores all system and application graphics. Text Tools Provide quick access to commonly used panels and functions when working with text. You can re-enable CB by selecting "Enable Crystal Black" in an application's main menu. This prevents CB from loading, but it does not restore the default system or application graphics. Turn Crystal Black Off Lets you disable CB for your entire system. This function is designed for use on Lion and Mountain Lion, where it can be useful at times if applications aren't loading Crystal Black. Reload Crystal Black Agent Can be used to force applications to reload Crystal Black. Re-Theme Window Forces CB to walk through your windows again in case it missed something the first time. Besides the system default style, you can choose between Heads-Up Display (HUD) or Metal styles. Toggle Crystal NIBs New in CB 1.5: Launches a small app for switching the style of the Authentication window. Toggle Crystal Docs Icons Lets you install or uninstall the Clear Crystal icon set, which was originally designed to complement the Crystal Black theme. Set Desktop Picture Gives you access to the included set of complementary Deco Bubbles desktop pictures. Change Text Color New in CB 1.5: Lets you switch among four themes - white, pale cyan, pale yellow, and pale orange - for text on the menubar, in menus, on buttons, and on most other user interface elements. Manage Graphics Lets you reinstall application graphics when needed - for example, when you install updates to iTunes or Safari. The elements themselves are beautiful, but not practical without the underlying software that makes the theme work. The Crystal Black Theme provides superior usability for its glossy black interface elements. How come? With Crystal Black, you can make toolbar items display large or small, with text or without, just as you can with all other toolbars. By default, the toolbars of an application's Preferences window can't be customized. If app updates overwrite Crystal Black's custom graphics, you can easily reinstall CB's graphics to keep the theme looking spick and span. iTunes and Safari both offer a high-contrast style that may appeal to those who love working in the dark. ![]()
